The Congress of the People (COP) has embarked on a new campaign to bring about "unity."
The party yesterday launched its "Unity Safari" an initiative which it said was in keeping with ongoing efforts to harmonise and unify all the people of Trinidad and Tobago.
COP leader, Winston Dookeran, addressing a handful of party supporters who assembled at the Brian Lara Promenade, Port of Spain for the launch yesterday, said that they intended to travel throughout the country spreading the message of unification.
Following its official launch, Dookeran and his team made their way to several constituencies along the East West Corridor.
Due to traffic conditions on the road the "Safari" will only hit the streets on weekends. It is expected to cover all 41 constituencies.
